Hello and Welcome! My name is Lynn Tirado, founder of a Shaman’s Love. I am a Shamanic Practitioner, Reiki Master, and Spiritual Counselor located in Monmouth County, Asbury Park, New Jersey.
My journey into Shamanism and Reiki Healing began in 2007. After having achieved all the societal norms of success: a long-term relationship, home ownership, small business, and successful career in IT; my world was suddenly turned upside down into chaos and deep pain when my long-term relationship abruptly came to an end. It was as if everything I had trusted and known to be true, suddenly wasn’t true at all. Feeling shattered, lost and confused, I attempted to relieve my pain with work, alcohol, and new relationships, but none of these things could take away the pain and suffering I felt. I experienced the “dark night of the soul”, a term used to describe a deep sense of meaninglessness when the whole conceptual framework of someone’s life has collapsed.
As painful as that experience was, it was the catalyst to years of self exploration and discovery that allowed me to awaken into a deeper sense of purpose and connectedness which brought about the death of my egoic sense of self and the birth of my True Self. It lead me on a journey to unimaginable places and experiences that has brought unconditional love, compassion, joy and gratitude to my life. It is with great compassion that I can say… our darkest moments and greatest challenges in life are spiritual tools used by our True Self to awaken us to who we really are and who we are becoming.
My experience as a lightworker began in 2009 with Reiki Healing. In 2015, I received my Reiki Master Level Attunement in Unlimited “White Light” Reiki System of Natural Healing from Maureen Conroy, RSM, D.Min. at The Upper Room Spiritual Center in Neptune, NJ. My Reiki lineage is Dr. Mikao Usui, Chujiro Hayashi, Mrs. Hawayo Hiromi Takata, Virginia W. Samdahl, Rev. Arthur L. Robertson, James P. Davis, Lauri Allen Grant, Rev. Stevan J. Thayer, Maureen Conroy (RSM, D.Min.).
In 2014, I began my journey into Shamanism at The Great Shamanic Initiation with Alberto Villoldo at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY. It was a rare opportunity to experience energetic transmissions from Q’ero Shamans from Peru. I experienced several initiation ceremonies: the erasing of personal karma and the awakening of the light body. First, we experienced a fire ceremony that taught us how to cut the energetic cords that bind us to our past and to the darkness of our collective history. During the second ceremony, we received energetic transmissions from the Q’ero Shamans Don Francisco, Don Juan, and Doña Juana to awaken our light body. These transmissions help us to grow a body that heals and ages differently, and allows us to dream a new world into being. In the final ceremony facilitated by Marcela Lobos, I received the 13th Rite of the Munay-Ki: The Rite of the Womb. This energetic transmission is intended to heal all women of the suffering they carry in their belly.
In 2015, and continuing to the present day, I began my journey in Sacred Ceremonies with Sacred Plant Medicines: Ayahuasca and Huachuma, and the Lakota Inipi Ceremony. These Sacred Ceremonies have been life altering, mind bending, and deeply healing.
In 2017, I became a Pachakuti Mesa Carrier and Shamanic Practitioner after having completed a two year shamanic apprenticeship with Adam Kane who studied with The Foundation of Shamanic Studies and is versed in Mayan, Peruvian, and Ecuadorian healing techniques.
In 2019, I completed a six month Lakota apprenticeship and one week Hanbleceya ceremony retreat with Marion WanagiWi.
